We’re grateful to have such a phenomenal dental team at Grand Rapids Dental Care who have really stuck it out for the long-haul! Our dental hygienists, assistants, and front desk associates have stayed with us throughout the years and have really become the foundation of our practice. They’ve worked hard to create an environment that’s welcoming, light, and warm, and they truly make each of our patients’ experiences special. Colleen has been a part of the dental field for nearly 40 amazing years! Her time with our office nearly covers three decades of that time. She really enjoys being able to help people find ways to afford the high-quality dentistry they need or desire here at Grand Rapids Dental Care.
In her spare time, Colleen is happy to be with her husband, daughter, and son. You can also often find her camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, or simply spending quality time at the lake.
Front Desk/Dental Assistant
Stacey’s dental career spans well over 15 years so far, and she loves getting to know patients each day at the office. Every day is so different! She is originally from Grand Rapids and studied at Hibbing Community College.
At home, Stacey has a young son named Archer. In her spare time, you can usually find her hanging out with family and friends, ATV-ing, kayaking, making campfires, enjoying concerts, and going to Twins games.
A Grand Rapids native, Deann has been working in the dental world for an impressive 40+ years so far. In addition to her scheduling expertise, she is a licensed/certified dental assistant. To this day, she always enjoys getting to know new patients and their families, as well as seeing the smiles of the many friends she’s made over time!
Outside of working hours, Deann enjoys being outdoors, flower gardening, watching movies, shopping, quilting, and playing gopher hockey games. She also used to be a slalom/water skier! She loves spending quality time around horses and her Golden Retrievers.
Heidi’s career in the dental world impressively spans 35+ years, with most of that time spent right here at our office. Today, she feels grateful to work alongside such a great group of people!
Away from work, Heidi is married with two beautiful daughters. Her biggest hobbies include camping, tackling various remodeling projects, cooking, going on long walks, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Connie has been a part of the dental field for over three full decades so far, with most of that time spent right here at our office. What she enjoys most about her job today is getting to know the patients so well while helping them feel as comfortable as possible in the dental setting! Throughout the years, she’s created some amazing bonds.
Away from work, Connie is happily engaged to a wonderful guy and has two grown children named Ben and Bailey, as well as two stepchildren named Lexi and Ben. To avoid confusion over the same name, they call their respective sons Ben and Benny! As for hobbies, she enjoys taking care of her grand dogs, being a member of the Lions Club, gardening outside, scrapbooking, crafting, and staying at her fiancé’s resort on Wabana Lake.
Expanded Restorative Dental Assistant
Traci has been working in the dental field since 1993, and she loves being able to help patients feel at ease here at Grand Rapids Dental Care. Plus, she gets to spend lots of time with the other amazing team members! She studied at both Larimer Community College and the University of Minnesota.
Traci and her husband have three boys and two German Shepherds at home. When she isn’t busy caring for teeth, you can often find her riding her motorcycle or snowmobile, hunting, fishing, playing sports, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Expanded Restorative Dental Assistant
Trisha studied dental assisting at Hibbing Technical College and then underwent the expanded restorative functions program through the University of Minnesota. Today, she’s been a member of our dental family for 25+ years! Being able to help people feel better by changing their smiles is her favorite part of the job. She truly loves everyone she works with as well.
Away from work, Trisha is married with two wonderful children. Her favorite hobbies include kayaking, snowshoeing, and camping.
Valerie has been a part of the dental field for nearly two full decades! Creating relationships with patients over time means the world to her. She studied dental assisting at Hibbing Community College.
Valerie and her husband Pat have been married for almost 35 years. They have two children, Bridget and Sam, as well as a beautiful granddaughter, Cirri. Her biggest priority outside of working hours is spending quality time with family, especially near the holidays. Valerie’s other hobbies include camping, spending time on the pontoon, and hanging out by a bonfire.
Mindy joined our team in 2021, but her career in the dental field spans 15+ years! As a hygienist, she always goes the extra mile to get to know patients while also helping them improve their oral health in measurable ways. She completed her education at Lake Superior College.
At home, Mindy and her husband Travis have two boys, Isaac and Joey, along with a dog, Izzy. Her free time is spent hanging out with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, camping, and running around to the kids’ various sporting activities.
Stephanie attended dental hygiene school at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and joined Grand Rapids Dental Care in 2019. What she enjoys most about her line of work is being able to ease dental anxiety and create a comfortable environment for patients. She’s passionate about sharing her love for dentistry with everyone who visits!
Outside of office hours, Stephanie spends plenty of time with Oakley, her energetic Black Labrador. Her favorite hobbies include being outdoors when the weather is nice, camping, kayaking, and walking the dog.
Megan is relatively new to our team, but she already loves the wonderful atmosphere of the practice, as well as the fact that she gets to work with such a knowledgeable and experienced group of people. Getting to know the patients while helping them achieve and maintain healthier smiles is a true joy! She completed her dental assisting training at Hibbing Community College, graduating with a “Very High Distinction.”
Away from work, Megan’s family includes her husband Nate, their six children (three stepchildren, three biological children), and their two dogs Ole and Tula. As for hobbies, she really enjoys fishing, cooking, and cake-decorating. She also LOVES hunting and can usually out-hunt all of the men in her family!
