Dr. Hagley
- Committed to Patient Care and Continuing Education
Dr. Mike Hagley, a native of northern Minnesota,
grew up in Bovey, MN. He attended the University
Of Minnesota School Of Dentistry and successfully
completed the program in 1979. Upon graduation he
returned home and began his career working with a
dentist in Deer River, MN. In 1983 Dr. Hagley
moved his practice to Grand Rapids.
Dr. Hagley and his staff are pleased to offer
patients professional dental services and a
state-of-the-art facility at his new location (built in
2001) behind Target in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Continuing education is a top priority for Dr.
Hagley. Because he believes that continual growth
and improvement is important, he actively pursues
continuing dental education above and beyond that which
is required for licensure. His philosophy extends
to his staff as well. Consequently, they too
participate in training exceeding that which is required
to maintain their credentials.
Reflective of his commitment to provide a wide array of
dental services, Dr. Hagley has sought additional
training in all aspects of dental care including:
veneers, cosmetic care, implants, orthodontics, crown
and bridge, oral surgery, dentures, whitening, full
 mouth reconstruction, root canal therapy, and periodontics. (gum care) Some of his
continuing education has included courses of study at
the Dental
Implant Institute, the prestigious Dawson
Institute for Advanced Dental Studies
and 2 years of course work at the United States Dental
Institute.
Dr. Hagley is a member of the Itasca Dental Society,
Northeast District Dental Society, Minnesota Dental
Association, American Dental Association, Academy of
General Dentistry, Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity,
and the Great Lakes Study
Club.
Dr. Hagley's belief in giving back to the community has
led to his participation in many civic organizations.
His involvements have included participation in the Deer
River Jaycees, a founding
role
in the Deer River Ducks Unlimited, Director of the
Timberman Triathlon, 16 years of support and
participation
in the United Way of 1000 Lakes, a
position as
Campaign Chair for the 1998 United Way of
1000 Lakes campaign, a role
as dental liaison for Headstart and Children First, a position as IMCare Board
member, and Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 44.
Dr. Hagley is a past participant and proud graduate of the
Blandin Community Leadership program and is a member of
the Community Presbyterian church where has served the
congregation as
Trustee.
An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Hagley enjoys the natural beauty of
northern Minnesota and all of the recreational
opportunities it offers. Together with wife, Mary,
and children, Michael and Sarah, he spends his free time
fishing, water skiing, biking, hunting, cross-country
skiing and wood working.
