If You Have
a Less-Than-Perfect Smile, Now You Have a Choice
For many
years those with a less-than-perfect smile had few
options available to correct their dental problems.
Today there are many services available from your
dentist to create a new, beautiful smile or to rehab
your old one. After an in-depth assessment of your
oral healthcare needs Dr. Hagley and the professionals
at Grand Rapids Dental Care will work with you to
determine the best method to restore your smile!
"Braces-free" smile
correction!
Many adults dislike their cooked teeth and think that
the only solution is lengthy orthodontic treatment with
braces. Thanks to improved technology and
materials, your dentist can now skillfully and quickly
change those crowded, crooked and missing teeth into
beautiful smiles. Cosmetic dentistry is no longer
just for the front teeth. Those old silver
fillings that have made your back teeth dark and
unattractive can now be replaced with state-of-the-art
materials that will make your teeth stronger, healthier
and much more attractive.
Teeth Whitening
Systems...
There are many causes of tooth discoloration such as:
coffee, cola, and smoking (to name a few). Aging
and some medications can also cause your teeth to stain
over time. Your dentist can determine the source
of your discoloration and recommend the best whitening
system for you. In most cases the results are
striking!
Don't be
misled by unproven and ineffective over-the-counter
whitening solutions. Grand Rapids Dental Care
dispenses a simple, safe and effective tooth whitening
system that you can do at home. It is closely
monitored by our professional staff for maximum results
in the least amount of time.
How does it work? Dr. Hagley's staff will take
impressions of your upper and lower teeth. From
these impressions, our clinical staff makes
custom-fitted tooth whitening appliances. The
appliances, which are fitted for maximum comfort, are
clear and very hard to detect. Our staff then
gives you a professional whitening system for use with
the appliance and personalized instructions. You
and Dr. Hagley will plan a homecare regimen in order to
keep your smile looking good for a lifetime!

Zoom!
- Grand Rapids Dental Care is also proud to offer Zoom!
- an in-office bleaching process which can
lighten discolored teeth as many as six shades in about
an hour.
This
is the same system seen on the TV show “Extreme
Makeover.” During this process a hydrogen
peroxide gel is applied to the teeth. The Zoom!
light helps activate the gel and increase its
effectiveness. It is a safe, painless and
effective procedure. Results are immediate and
dramatic and will be long-lasting if patients follow
some simple post-whitening care instructions.

Zoom! technology.
Bonding
is a cosmetic procedure that can improve the appearance
of teeth that are chipped, broken, cracked, stained, or
have spaces between them. With bonding, tooth-colored
materials are attached, or bonded, to a tooth surface.
The process can improve unsightly stains from coffee,
tea, tobacco or medications. Bonding can be used to
protect exposed tooth roots that result from gum
recession. Bonding can close front-tooth spaces or
accident-induced cracks or chips.
Veneers are thin custom-made shells that are designed to cover the
front side of teeth. Made of tooth-colored materials,
veneers treat spaces between teeth and/or teeth that are
permanently stained, poorly shaped or slightly crooked.
They may also cover teeth that are chipped or worn.
Veneers are more esthetic, longer lasting and more stain
resistant than bonding.

Ceramic Crowns
are difficult to distinguish from natural teeth.
Because they do not have metal underneath they eliminate
the darkness at the gumline visible with crowns that
were placed in years gone by. They have a translucent
beauty that blends perfectly with natural teeth.
Because of advances in materials and techniques they are
strong as well as beautiful.
